I grew up in beautiful Steveston Village in Richmond, British Columbia. Then I attended Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I love to spend time in nature with my dog and I have always been drawn to the water and its calming effect.
I engage with clients from a trauma informed and client centred approach. I work with individuals who are experiencing issues related to Stress, Anxiety, Depression, Trauma/PTSD/C-PTSD, Childhood Abuse, Body Image, Self-Worth, Relationship Issues and Grief & Loss. I enjoy working with youth, young adults, and adults, working with them to navigate their inner world and the challenges that life brings. In my practice I draw from such therapies as Adlerian, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Attachment Theory, Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) and somatic approaches. I strive to create a safe space for my clients so that they can gain a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships. Together we will gather insight. I will provide you with the support and tools to face challenges, work towards your goals and cultivate a sense of belonging and healing. |
My Approach:I take a client centred approach while maintaining a trauma informed lens that allows for a safe therapeutic space. I tailor my approach to each of my unique clients. I often use Adlerian and Internal Family Systems to help clients understand themselves and their inner world. I also use EMDR and somatic tools to assist clients in reprocessing past experiences. This deeper understanding of our inner world creates a better relationship with ourselves, a feeling of peace and feeling at home in our mind and body.

My Process:During our time together I hope to create an empathetic and collaborative therapeutic relationship with you. We will work together to gather insight and understanding of your inner world. I will encourage and support you in implementing techniques to create changes that will carry on long after our time together has finished.
During sessions we gather insight into how the past is showing up in the present, connect with the inner parts of the self and help these parts heal. Through this deeper understanding and reprocessing clients begin to heal and feel more harmony within themselves. |
