I grew up in the beautiful Steveston Village in Richmond, British Columbia, before attending Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Law & Society. I also hold a Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology from Adler University. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). Outside of my work, I love spending time in nature with my dog, trying new restaurants, listening to true crime and have always been drawn to the calming effect of water.
I am deeply empathetic and passionate about supporting my clients on their journey to healing and growth. I am also committed to ongoing professional development and training to ensure I am providing the best possible support to my clients. If you’re ready to begin your journey towards healing and growth, I invite you to reach out and schedule a free consultation. |
My Approach:I take a client-centred approach, grounded in a trauma-informed perspective, to create a safe and supportive therapeutic space. My approach is tailored to the unique needs of each individual. I frequently draw from Adlerian and Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapies to help clients gain insight into themselves and their inner world. Additionally, I incorporate EMDR and somatic tools to assist in reprocessing past experiences. This deeper understanding of and connection to our inner landscape fosters a healthier relationship with ourselves, bringing a sense of peace and harmony between the mind and body.
|
My Process:In our work together, my goal is to foster an empathetic and collaborative therapeutic relationship to meet you where you are at. We will explore and gain insight into your inner world, and I will support you in implementing techniques that create lasting change, extending beyond our sessions.
Throughout our time together, we’ll examine how past experiences influence the present, connect with different parts of the self, and reconnect with the body. This process of deep understanding and reprocessing helps you heal, bringing greater resilience and balance within yourself. |
